Footlights Theater Co. is an emerging, youth-centered summer theater program built on mentorship, collaboration, and care. We are creating a space where young people are trusted with real responsibility, supported by experienced educators, and encouraged to grow as performers, leaders, and collaborators.
Mentorship and Leadership
Students are supported by experienced educators and artists, with guidance that grows alongside increasing responsibility. Leadership roles—onstage and behind the scenes—are meaningful and real.
Structure, Care, and High Standards
Clear expectations, consistent routines, and a collaborative environment allow students to take creative risks and produce ambitious, well-crafted work.
Footlights Theater Co. brings middle and high school students from across Northern Westchester together to create ambitious theater in a collaborative, student-centered environment. Our programs are designed to give young artists meaningful ownership of the process, both onstage and behind the scenes, while learning alongside theater professionals and one another.
We believe strong work grows from strong relationships. By combining high expectations with mentorship, collaboration, and room to take creative risks, Footlights gives students the opportunity to develop their artistry, build community, and help shape the work they create.
As the program develops, opportunities will be shared with the community in a way that is transparent, inclusive, and intentional.
