Synopsis
The year is 1472 in a little town off the shore of the Weser River in Germany. The people of Hamelin are desperate to be rid of infestation of rats. Rats everywhere. The town's mayor, Otto has
promised to relieve the problem by
placing the problem in the hands of an expert, his bumbling sister, the Royal Wizardess Zezparellda who couldn't spin a top much less spin a spell, when
suddenly a stranger comes to town - a piper from who knows where promising to
rid the town of rats for a price. Desperate and cornered by the town folk,
Otto promises a hundred guilders to the drifter if he can get rid of the rats,
but when the piper is not paid, there is a price. The Cobbler and his
grandson, Johann, try to warn the townsfolk that the Piper has a strange
power, but no one heeds their warning and for a while Hamelin becomes a
lonesome place. But this tale does not end in grief. Beyond the pipe, lies
not a thief but a teacher here to tell the rest. Love doesn't lie in
selfishness. So ends our tale that love prevails. Clap your hands and ring the
bells. If they do not sing, so will the stones. The piper now no longer roams.
To broken hearts, he will atone. THE CHILDREN NOW ARE COMING HOME!
